How Do Rates Work?
Display
Ad sizes are based on the height of the ad in centimetres and the width in columns i.e. 20cm high x 3 columns wide:
- Step 1: 20 x 3 = 60 column centimetres
- Step 2: 60ccm x $39.84 (Wednesday, direct, casual, full colour, run of paper per column/cm rate) = $2,390.40 plus GST
- Step 3: Additional position loadings are then calculated e.g. specified page in a guaranteed section $2,390.40 + 15% = $2,748.96 plus GST
The Aucklander: Display advertising in The Aucklander is sold in the following set sizes: full page, half page, quarter page and eighth page. Refer to ratecard for pricing.
Classified
Some classified ads are charged by the line i.e. 10 lines long:
- Step 1: 10 lines
- Step 2: 10 x $5.13 per line (Monday - Friday, direct, casual, Real Estate) = $51.30 + GST
