Unbeatable Coverage
This September sees the biggest international event to come to New Zealand in over a decade and The New Zealand Herald will be living and breathing every last moment of it.

Planned coverage in The New Zealand Herald:
Section A
From September 5, a minimum of two pages on the tournament – as the finals loom the page number will increase.
Content will include:
- High Profile guest columnists from New Zealand and around the world.
- A news team covering all off-field news, events, gossip, ticketing and tourism stories.
- Dedicated ‘News from Home’ pages for fans from Australia, UK, South Africa, and Europe.
Section B
From September 5, a daily four or eight page wrap around the section.
Content will include:
- In-depth features.
- Light-hearted tid-bits.
- A betting column.
SuperSport
- SuperShorts will run every day of the tournament.
- SuperSport section will be expanded and converted to include two event guides – Publishing Friday, September 2 and 9
- Commentary about competing teams from guest writers from around world.
- Stories focused specifically on the All Blacks’ tournament.
Special Publications:
Collectable magazine-style series covering:
- Great All Black eras, matches and players – Publishing July, 18, 19 and 20
- World Cup Legends, Greatest Moments, Who to Watch in 2011 – Publishing August 15, 16 and 17
- Entertainment guide on 8th Sept.
All will be circulated in The New Zealand Herald, series of three in each, 32 pages, 42gsm, stitched tabloid format.
Planned Coverage in The Herald on Sunday
- One souvenir lift-out prior to the cup – Sunday Sep 4
- Themed weekly pages leading up to kick-off.
- Dedicated sections both within news and sport throughout the competition.
- Other stories from the cup including a WAGs column, and informal fan interviews.
- Two Lift out features on Sept 4 (Rugby World Cup Guide) and Sept 8 (Miles Davis Feature)
